Burning tips

Beeswax candles burn cleaner, hotter and longer than any other candle and burn with a bright, clear and steady flame. The following are guidelines to burning beeswax candles safely and efficiently.

Choosing the size

Choosing the size of your candle can be difficult as often times candles are purchased to fit a certain holder or create a look.

The size of the candle determines how long the candle needs to be burned each time. The general rule of thumb is to burn a beeswax candle an hour per inch of candle diameter which will prevent "tunneling"

Burning the candle

Always keep the wick trimmed to 1/4" as a long wick causes a long flame which can flicker and smoke.

Burning your beeswax candle an appropriate period of time will allow the wax to melt to the outer edges of the candle, giving you the most efficient burn. Depending on the size of your candle, you may have to extinguish the candle and trim the wick periodically.

Always place candles on heat resistant surface or in an appropriate holder and never directly on a wooden surface.

Keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets

extinguishing the candle

To prevent smoke when extinguishing a candle, dip the wick into the hot wax pool using a metal tool. Make sure to bring the wick back up and center it for the next time you burn the candle.

When the wax is cooling, gently hug the candle by pushing in the sides when they are still pliable. This will bring the liquid wax back up, giving you a candle that will burn down evenly.

We continuously test our candles to ensure they meet our high quality standards. If you are unhappy with your candle please let us now, your feedback is always appreciated in making our products even better.
